At the end of the hunting season in Spain, the galgos deemed worthless or too costly to📉 maintain are destroyed in a variety of inhumane ways  including being hanged, dumped into abandoned wells, shot, and📉 even burned to death.

Because they tend to be quiet and docile, Galgos make very nice house pets. In📉 Spain they have a well earned reputation as gentle dogs, with sweet temperaments and solid health. They tend to get📉 along well with people and other dogs, and they can be well-behaved around cats if properly socialized.
